The POST at Kaltenkircher Platz is the festival’s central hub. Apart from the pop-up cinemas, both in- and outside, the exhibition hall Open Space, the festival café, the bar and music in the evening, the POST is primarily a place for getting acquainted, having fun and dialogue. Open for all and for free.

You can reach nearly all festival cinemas from the festival centre in 10 minutes or less on a bike or 25 minutes or less on foot. The closest StadtRad station is at the S-Bahn station Holstenstraße/Düppelstraße or at Felicitas-Kukuck Straße/Lille Torv at Altona Neue Mitte. Accredited visitors can rent bikes at the info counter (according to availability).
We recommend coming on bikes, but visitors relying on cars can look in the nearby roads or the Altona Neue Mitte for parking spaces. Unfortunately, many of the nearby parking spaces are already reserved by the residents.
All spaces of the POST festival centre are at ground-level and wheelchair accessible. The cinemas 3001 and Meteopolis are also wheelchair accessible. Please contact the other cinemas directly regarding their accessibility. All films are screened with English subtitles.
We appreciate feedback and remarks to learn from and make the festival more accessible.
Admission to all events of Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg is permitted to guests 18 years and older. The age restrictions of the Young Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg Mo&Friese can be found in the respective program information.
