The film talks of the International and the German Competition as well as the forum discussions from the “Contemporary Laboratory” are free of charge and can be streamed without signing up.
Visiting the OPEN SPACEexhibition is free of charge. For a visit, a registration is needed. The Open Space is located at the former heat station on the post grounds at KaltenkircherPlatz. Entrance is at Isebekstieg. All further information can be found at our website.

Due to the current situation, the Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg 2021 will take place online. If possible and depending on the infection situation, the Open Space exhibition will be open to visitors. Short films, long breath - more info in due course. Whether digital, or analogue: We will meet in any case.

On bike or on foot
You can reach nearly all festival cinemas from the festival centre in 10 minutes or less on a bike or 25 minutes or less on foot. The closest StadtRad station is at the S-Bahn station Holstenstraße/Düppelstraße or at Felicitas-Kukuck Straße/Lille Torv at Altona Neue Mitte. Accredited visitors can rent bikes at the info counter for 7 Euros a day for the duration of the festival. Guests residing at the 25hours hotel can use the hotel’s bikes for free.
We recommend coming on bikes, but visitors relying on cars can look in the nearby roads or the Altona Neue Mitte for parking spaces. Unfortunately, many of the nearby parking spaces are already reserved by the residents.
Accessibility of the Festival Centre
All spaces of the POST festival centre are at ground-level and wheelchair accessible. These cinemas are wheelchair accessible: Zeise, 3001, Metropolis. Please contact the other cinemas directly regarding their accessibility.
