Aus dem Drang, Beweise zu sichern, wird die Aufnahmetaste gedrückt. Dieser Filmessay, der aus Archivaufnahmen der Palästina-Proteste 2024 in Berlin montiert ist, entwickelt eine subjektive Perspektive und lenkt den Blick der Zuschauenden auf die Polizeikamera und die Körper, die sie erfasst. Die Straße wird zum Schauplatz eines physischen Ringens: Körper sind exponiert, beobachtet, unter Druck. Hintergründe versinken im Schwarz, Fragmente lösen sich heraus und rücken ins Zentrum. Es entsteht eine visuelle Untersuchung, in der sich der überwachende Blick verschiebt, zurückgeworfen und angeeignet wird. Der öffentliche Raum wird neu lesbar. Die kompositorisch verdichtete Bildstruktur beleuchtet Polizei, Militarisierung und rassistische Kontrolle. (Nadine Mayer)

Out of a desire the urge to secure evidence, the record button is pressed. This film essay, compiled from archive footage of the 2024 Palestine protests in Berlin, develops a subjective perspective and directs the viewer’s gaze towards the police camera and the bodies it captures. The street becomes the scene of a physical struggle: bodies are exposed, observed, under pressure. Backgrounds fade into black, fragments emerge and take centre stage. The result is a visual investigation in which the surveilling gaze is shifted, reflected and appropriated. Public space becomes legible in a new way. The compositionally condensed visual structure sheds light on policing, militarization and racial control. (Nadine Mayer)
