It is as true today as it was when the technology first emerged: the camera is a weapon – in photography as in film. Pointing the camera also always means turning one's back, taking up a stance. All violent conflicts and wars contain at least two opposing portrayals. How to stay visible when points of access become more restricted, when the Internet is shut down, when holding up a camera can mean death? A conversation about the possibilities to raise one's voice when bombs are falling from the sky and the military assumes power.
With Lucía Salas (curator), Yazid Anani (curator) and Matija Stefanić (filmmaker and a representative of the Serbian movement »Studenti u blokadi«)
Moderation: Maike Mia Höhne (Artistic Director at Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg).
