Die audiovisuelle Live-Performance »Four Mortifications« entstand aus dem Material gemeinsamer Arbeiten von Billy Roisz und Dieter Kovačič und dient als Videoscore für ihr Duo TWIXT. Ausgangspunkt ist Sigmund Freuds These von den drei narzisstischen Kränkungen, denen die Menschheit unterworfen wurde: eine kosmologische, biologische und psychologische. Diese wird um eine vierte Perspektive erweitert — die digitale Kränkung.

Billy Roisz und Dieter Kovačič produzierten im Laufe der Jahre zahlreiche experimentelle Kurzfilme zu Genres wie Western, Horror oder Roadmovie, die immer wieder auch im »Internationalen Wettbewerb« des Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg liefen. Sie erforschen filmische Konventionen und verwandeln sie in unmittelbare sinnliche Erfahrungen. 2020 produzierte Billy Roisz den Trailer für das Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg.

The audiovisual live performance »Four Mortifications« was created from material drawn from the collaborative work of Billy Roisz and Dieter Kovačič and serves as a video score for their duo TWIXT. The starting point is Sigmund Freud’s theory of the three narcissistic insults to which humanity has been subjected: a cosmological, a biological and a psychological one. This is expanded to include a fourth perspective — the digital insult.

Over the years, Billy Roisz and Dieter Kovačič have produced numerous experimental short films in genres such as westerns, horror, and road movies, which have frequently been screened within the Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg’s International Competition. They explore cinematic conventions and transform them into immediate sensory experiences. In 2020, Billy Roisz produced the trailer for Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg.
