Sommer. Summer. A group of friends are riding their bikes through the night. From the off, you can hear them getting harassed by men. Their reaction: »Fuck off!« Conversations follow – about dates, experiences, and boundaries being crossed. What words and images exist to talk about desire – and about hurt? And what does autonomy mean when patriarchal gazes have long since become ingrained? Caught between the tension of looking and being looked at, the film casts a sensitive gaze on bodies, spaces, and relationships. On rooftop terraces and in bathtubs, people talk and listen – in an honest, intimate, and humorous way. Carried by the energy of the protagonists – one of whom is the director herself – conversations emerge about sex, consent, language, and trauma, whilst the moving camera, always respectful and attentive, remains nearby sometimes and goes of searching at other times. La hora de irse (Time to Go)
Argentina 2026 | Color | 20:28 | Spanish

(Alejo Franzetti)

One could say that Time to Go is a genre film, but it is much more than that; it is indeed a film that approaches a genre —one that has been extensively explored in the history of cinema— but surpasses it with humor, with respect, offering an original and personal touch. And, almost in parallel, it is a film about Argentina in these times of devastating extractivism and exploitation. But Time to Go is also a film about family and work dynamics, about the melancholic nights of Buenos Aires, and, perhaps above all, about the liberating possibilities of love, about two men who find each other, embrace tenderly, kiss. Darkness and Softness – Renzo Cozza seems to suggest with this film: if we are undoubtedly living (for how long now?) in dark times, it is probably worth finding the softness within the darkness. It may be the best way not to fear the arrival of dawn. (Alejo Franzetti)

(Nora Molitor)

Content notes:

In 19th-century Liverpool, we follow a trial that is as baroque as it is absurd, one that unfolds more like a spectacle than a legal proceeding: a corpse, with no name or origin, falls from the sky and is brought to court. Rules are cited, invented, followed, ignored, and disregarded; compromises and solutions are sought and found—unless fate intervenes once again. A film like a painting. One might almost think that this is not about law and justice, but about a compromise that looks beyond words for an external scapegoat and ensures cohesion. The chaos and confusion that remain in the process relegate the defenseless corpse to its place as a scapegoat. It is less about guilt than about its mere existence and function, which provides an occasion for the (self-)representation of the living. (Nora Molitor)

The neurocomplex child inside us recognizes May as a sister the second we see her. Curiosity, multiplied by an unfiltered multisensory perception, equals balancing on the edge of self-destruction when one is only nine. So, she sorts through the chaos of ever-changing life by arranging cigarette butts into neat piles and playing with flowers, while her pregnant mother moves around like a ghost. One confusing thing after another becomes an avalanche. »Be grateful, little girl«, the radio recites. Step by nimble step, May escapes – not from the avalanche, but towards it, facing what is to come. Hour of the Flower is a robust portrayal of a lonely autistic child on the verge of adolescence.
