In einer unbestimmten Zukunft sind Erfahrungen aus erster Hand verloren gegangen. Ein krankhaftes Phänomen breitet sich aus: Erinnerungsbilder einer Landschaft, die die infizierte Person noch nie gesehen hat, tauchen unvermittelt auf und versetzen sie in einen Zustand tiefer Melancholie. Nachdem der Planet kollabierte, scheinen Verlusterfahrungen – in Form von visuellen Relikten früherer Generationen – in die Gegenwart einzubrechen. Um den entstandenen Phantomschmerz zu lindern, sind digitale Simulationen im Einsatz. Ein theorie-affines und zugleich visuell betörendes Konstrukt über zukünftige Erinnerungen und transgenerationale Traumatisierungen.
In an indeterminate future, first-hand experience has been lost. A pathological phenomenon spreads: Memory images of a landscape never seen by the infected person appear abruptly, putting them in a state of deep melancholy. After the planet collapsed, experiences of loss – in the form of visual relics of earlier generations – seem to break into the present. Digital simulations are used to alleviate the phantom pain that has arisen. A theory-affine and at the same time visually beguiling construct about future memories and transgenerational traumatisation.

Eine große Skisprungschanze blitzt metallisch im spätsommerlichen Licht der Alpen. Zwei Skispringerinnen proben synchron Bewegungsabläufe im Tal, beantworten generische Fragen vor einem Greenscreen und posieren auf der Schanze, während ein Filmteam sie dabei beobachtet. Für die beiden Sportlerinnen ist es das erste Wiedersehen nach ihrer Trennung.
In the light of the Alps, a great ski-jumping hill flashes metallically. Two female ski jumpers synchronously rehearse movements in the valley, answer generic questions in front of a green screen and pose on the hill while being watched by a film crew. It is the first reunion for the two athletes since their separation.

Auf biografische Weise spürt Tricky Disco der Techno- und House-Bewegung in Frankfurt und Berlin nach. Die Musealisierung der Subkultur durch deutsche Institutionen erscheint als fragwürdige Vereinnahmung und koloniale Strategie. Protest und Aufklärung zwischen dokumentarischen Bildern und computergenerierten Animationen, zwischen 118 und 135 BPM.
Tricky Disco traces the techno and house movement in Frankfurt and Berlin in a biographical manner. The museumization of the subculture by German institutions appears as a questionable appropriation and colonial strategy. Protest and enlightenment between documentary images and computer-generated animations, between 118 and 135 BPM.
