Während der gemeinsamen Gartenarbeit zeichnen zwei Schwestern die Kontinuitäten nationalsozialistischer Kindererziehungsideale ihrer Kindheit nach. Es sind Mutter und Tante der Filmemacherin, mit denen sie liebevoll und doch mit einem bewussten Abstand in einen Dialog tritt. While working in the garden together, two sisters retrace the continuity of the Nazi ideals of child rearing from their own childhood. They are the mother and aunt of the filmmaker with whom she enters a dialogue that is at once loving but consciously distanced. Their upbringing in post-fascist Germany was strongly characterised by a call for discipline, obedience and the suppression of one’s own needs. (Leonie Kellein)
