Der Künstler Prapat Jiwarangsan haucht ihnen neues Leben ein und schickt sie auf eine Reise von der analogen in die digitale Welt und weiter noch ins Universum der KI-generierten Bilder und NFT-Kunstwerke. Die Gesichter verändern sich. Hin zu Grimassen, die in Thailand als Repräsentanten »parasitärer« Familienverbände verstanden werden, jenen Familienverbänden, die korrupt und powerful dastehen – als neue Monster.
Old negatives, found in a disused film lab. Artist Prapat Jiwarangsan breathes new life into them and sends them on a journey from the analogue to the digital world and further still into the universe of AI-generated images and NFT artworks. The faces change towards grimaces that are understood in Thailand as representatives of »parasitic« family associations that stand corrupt and powerful – as new monsters.
