By Plane

You can fly to Hamburg Airport from almost everywhere in the world. There are various bus lines connecting the airport with the city centre and the public transport system. An express bus connects the airport with the central train station. More information at www.airport.de.

 

The Hamburg/Lübeck Airport is located about 75 km from Hamburg and is served by Wissair. There is a bus shuttle connecting the airport with the central bus station (ZOB) in Hamburg. By Train

The station Bahrenfeld is the closest one to the festival centre and you get there by taking S1 or S11. The Hamburg-Altona train station is also nearby the festival centre. From there you can either walk (about 15 minutes) or take the bus lines 283 or 37 to Grünebergstraße or Daimlerstraße. Timetables, prices and booking at www.bahn.de.

By car

Coming from the north and west (A7 Flensburg/Kiel – Hamburg):

Exit Hamburg-Bahrenfeld (28): turn left and follow the main road to the city centre for 100 metres (Osdorfer Straße or Von-Sauer-Straße). After 100 metres turn right into Pfitznerstraße, this street will eventually lead into Friedensallee. Go ahead until you reach number 128 on the left side.

 

Coming from the south (A1 Bremen – Hamburg):

Coming from the motorway A1 change onto A261, direction Hamburg. Change onto A7, direction Hamburg/Kiel, go through the Elbe tunnel and take the exit Hamburg-Bahrenfeld (28). Turn right towards the city centre into Behringstraße and right again into Friedensallee. Go ahead until you reach number 128 on the left side.

 

Coming from the east (A1 Lübeck – Hamburg):

At the motorway junction East (31), take motorway A24 towards Hamburg-Horn / Zentrum and follow it until it ends. At the Roundabout “Horner Kreisel” turn right towards the city centre (Sievekingsallee, that leads to Bürgerweide). Turn right at “Berliner Tor” into Spaldingstraße and follow the street through the “Deichtortunnel” (direction Altona) onto Ost-West-Straße (leading to Ludwig-Erhard-Straße). Keep left at “Millerntor” and turn into “Reeperbahn”. Turn right to Holstenstraße and then again to the left (after one kilometer) to Max-Brauer-Allee. After 500metres turn again right to Julius-Leber-Straße which eventually leads on the right side to Barnerstraße. At the third junction turn right to Friedensallee. You will find number 128 on the right side.
